Subacute brucellosis: a case report

Brucellosis is one of the most common zoonotic diseases worldwide. The epidemiological situation brucellosis in Russian Federation characterized as unfavorable. remains a problem regions with developed animal husbandry. variety clinical manifestations and absence specific symptoms make its diagnosis challenging. case presented this paper illustrates delayed 10-year-old patient presenting fever enlarged lymph nodes, liver, spleen. failure provision medical care was attributed to lack alertness doctors regarding brucellosis, insufficient interpretation history data, incorrect assessment totality syndrome disease laboratory parameters. As result, diagnosed only 6 months after onset. Subsequent etiotropic therapy led stabilization patients condition, who discharged from hospital recommendations under supervision an infectious specialist.
